The creator almost has their first CAS Preferences mod ready for release and that’s Dessert preferences. Ooooo i’m about to have so much fun with this! I’ve already added a new meals category to Sims preferences. Right now I'm using this to make Turn-Ons/Offs only visible to Teens and up, but maybe Voidcritters would be a good child-exclusive one? Not sure what else yet…Īnother modder marlynsims96 was able to add a whole category of Meal Preferences! Currently this mod is still in development but the creator has already added in so many recipes from the game, as you can see down below: Here's something fun: since they're just fancy traits, each life stage can have their own unique Likes/Dislikes! They’ve also shared some valuable insight on how easily moddable they are: I’d love to integrate this into a chemistry system one day, but for now I’m planning to give tense/flirty moodlets, and hopefully effect autonomous romance interactions as well!
Then start working on the gameplay integration! Will probably do a non-functional pre-release on my Patreon once I add all the turn-ons/offs. Thanks so much for all of the interest everyone!!! Here’s a few more I’ve added since posting. The cursed trait changes the life of your Sim to be. The Personality Mod adds 6 reward traits to the Reward Store. Gameplay effects will be a later thing, for now I’m having fun just adding in the icons! Custom Traits in Club Filter v14 by Chingyu. The creator indicated that they will be soon starting their work on modding in the gameplay aspect. You can check out some of the previews down below. At the moment the creator was able to only play around with the User Interface and add in a new category in the CAS Preferences while also adding in specific Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs icons in Create A Sim. Ky-e was able to add in an entirely new category of CAS Preferences – Sim Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs. The first Custom CAS Preferences that are already in works are created by ky-e, who’s also known for their work on the Lifetime Aspirations Overhaul.
Two active modders have begun important work on expanding the possibilities of CAS Preferences in The Sims 4.
#The sims 4 custom traits update#
One command allows you to add any trait to a Sim.It hasn’t even been a few days since the latest update for The Sims 4 Base Game which added Likes & Dislikes Preferences in Create A Sim (and Live Mode!) and the modding community has already begun with serious work! Under MCC Settings > Notification/Command/Menu Settings > Console Command Settings, there is an option to enable debug commands that can be accessed by shift+clicking a Sim or object. There’s nothing I can do to fix this.įor Sims that have already been placed in the world, one way to add back old traits is using MC Command Center. If you already have Sims with custom traits, they will lose them and you’ll have to re-apply them. Unfortunately, this has the side effect of breaking compatibility with existing saved games and saved Sims in your library. The issue is due to the UI not understanding 64-bit trait IDs, and the solution is to use 32-bit IDs instead. Traits that are not made with Mod Constructor are the responsibility of their creators to fix. Modders will have to re-export their custom traits to apply the fix. They are prideful, aggressive, and live a selfish and lonely life. I’ve released an update to Mod Constructor to fix the issue. These sims are extremely antisocial and have no conscience. Specifically, they cause the new Sim Profile UI to glitch up.
